Topaz’s Surprise Box!

Topaz class had a surprise box turn up in the classroom on Monday and we discussed what might be inside. The box was labelled as FRAGILE. When we opened it up there was a dinosaur egg inside! Today we debated whether or not we should keep it in school and here are some of our responses.

“We should keep the egg in school because we are learning about dinosaurs so it would help to have a real live one.” (Imogen)

“We should keep the egg in school so we can see if it’s a carnivore, herbivore or an omnivore.” (Poppy)

“We should keep the egg in school because dinosaurs are extinct so we could protect it.” (Tyler)

“We should keep the egg in school so we can have a class pet & learn how to look after it.” (Kyle)

“We should not keep the egg in school because there will be no one here at the weekends and holidays to look after it.” (Rilley)

“We should not keep the egg in school because it might eat us all.” (Sienna)

“We should not keep the egg in school because it would need a mummy dinosaur to look after it.” (Anya)

“We should not keep the egg in school because we wouldn’t have the right food for it and that wouldn’t be fair.” (Connor)
